A dark alley on a rainy night.

As I regained conscientiousness, I remember asking, "Why are those headlights shining in my face and where am I." There was no one in the car that was parked in front of me to blame. Only the musty smell of blood and trash was around me. There was a huge building to the left of me that was some kind of bank and to the right of me was a six foot wooden fence. "How in the world did I get here?" I gradually began to get up and head towards the bank trying to search for any sign of what may of happened to me and how I got here. I began walking through the vestibule towards a door down the long hall. There at the end I could see a man dressed as a clown. He had sharp teeth and long fingers nails that he kept waving towards me to come. "No, I don't know you! I won't come." "Don't be stubborn my child. I won't hurt you." The Room began spinning and I couldn't stop. The clown began laughing louder and louder and I could feel my ear drums bursting. "Jessica, wake up! Honey, wake up I kept telling myself." This can't be real! I can't die from a clown. "Jessica, wake up!" My mom began shaking my fiercely and I finally caught grip of what was going on. It was a dream! Just a terrible and real feeling dream.

Psycho "O"

It was a typical Monday morning, hard to get up because of I got to sleep late both Saturday and Sunday. I was walking up to the school and everyone seemed like they were all so cheerful and having the best time of their life. I wasn't feeling the atmosphere so I went inside to get away from all the "happy" people. When I got inside Mr. KP was singing over the intercom as cheerful as can be. I couldn't seem to get away from all the happiness. I was feeling very aggravated by that time and the bell rang. Here comes 1st period Algebra II. I was already having a bad day because I wanted to sleep late and everyone was so cheerful. Mr. Vannoy began passing out our tests from that Friday. I turned page to page to page and noticed that I had an x on most of the test. I wanted to scream and attack him. I knew I did a good job on this test cause I had studied all week. Well, come to find out he had got someone else scores mixed up with mine when they were put into the cps.

So everything turned out dandy.

Letter To Me

If I could write a letter to me for the future I would say, "do you remember back when you were little and used to tell yourself that you were going to open up a Pediatric hospital in the old Childress Hotel?" Now look at you, you've made your dreams come true. You stayed in school and studied your medicines. While all the other kids were partying you stayed at home studying and kept your head straight. Now you're working for all the hospitals in Amarillo when they need you. You have 3 beautiful kids and a wonderful husband that's just as devoted to his job as you are. After all the broken hearts and fights God has sent you a wonderful husband. LOOK AT ME GO!! After all the hard work, effort, and tears you've put in your life it was totally worth because of the life you have today. After year's of working at the hospitals in Amarillo you will come back and open up a Pediatric Center in the old Childress Hotel just because everyone doubted you. Sitting here at 17 I can see my future unfold before me. I truly believe that if and when I look at this letter to myself when I am 30, I can cry happy tears and say "LOOK AT ME GO! I DID IT!"

Coach Rhodes

My favorite memory of Coach Rhodes would have to be when we were in Freshman track right before my knee injury. We were dieing at the track like always because of the unbelievable workout we had to do during that season. I felt like giving up and began showing because I began falling behind all of the other girls. I just want to stop and vomit! Well here comes old Coach Rhodes when I thought nothing could boost my confidence. He said "Cano, as fast as you are you should be at the front." I told him, "But Coach, I'm a short distance runner not a long distance runner!" Ol' Coach replied "Girrr you acting just like lazy ol' Anthony Flemons. Now get your tail to running." And boy did I get to running, because there was no way in the world I wanted sweet Coach Rhodes disappointed in me!

Thank you Coach Rhodes for your support!

The Tale of the Unicorn and Bee

There once was a huge, pink and white unicorn that had fur as soft as bunny rabbits fur against your face. Her name was Doughnut! She was making her way through Lollipop Land to get to see her true love Calache. She came upon a pear tree that looked unimaginably delicious. She reached her head up and crunched into it. The pear's juice burst into her taste buds and quenched her thirst and hunger from the day's long journey. While she was enjoying her sweet pear a long came a bee. He said "Mam would you mind of I had a taste of your sweet delicious pear?" "Of course not! Go right ahead!" But instead of the bee taking a bite of her pear she went right down and stung the top of Doughnut's nose. "Oh, no! I'm allergic to you guys." The sting was outrageous it was like the pound of a hammer on your nose. Doughnut began to choke! "I'll never get to see my lover Calache again!" The beautiful Doughnut was gone now and the bee just buzzed away!

Swine Flu

H1N1 or best known to us as "Swine Flu", is a respiratory disease that is typically found in pigs but occasionally can spread to humans. Swine flu was first found in San Antonio, Texas and Southern California but the cause of the spread is still unknown. Flu is usually spread through airborne spit that leaves our mouths.
Swine flu is now ranked 5 to 6 on the rank of how many people have it. This doesn't necessarily mean that more people are dieing from it but that it is spreading more in certain regions.
A way to prevent from getting Swine Flu is to WASH YOUR HANDS, DISINFECT SURFACES, AND AVOID CLOSE CONTACT WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE SICK!!

Good luck on not becoming a lil' piggy!!

Me!

Jessica,
pretty, intelligent, funny, loud, blunt.
I adore puppies, big lollipops, and babies.
Couldn't live without immediate family, niece & nephew, grandparents, and Kacey.
I hate forks scraping and people greeting teeth.
I've seen "The Time Travelers Wife", "Twilight", and "I Love You Man".
I'm horrified of clowns and not making it to heaven.
Four things I like most about school is friends, lunch, football games, and pep-rallies.
I have visited London, England, Knoxville, Tennessee, and San Antonio, Texas.
Five places I would like to visit would be any place in Egypt, Italy, Germany, Ireland, and Scotland.
I would like to achieve getting out of high school, college, having a family, being a wonderful mom and wife, and getting right with God.
Cano

Beowulf

The Wrath of Grendel
It was the 21st century, people were beginning to look forward to what was coming in the future. Until the ferocious monster Grendel came to destroy the kingdom of Hrothgar because of the racket they were causing. Grendel was using his bionic lens to receive information about our kingdoms parties. This gave him the chance to pounce on our men when they were unable to protect themselves because of the alcohol consumed that night. He would go to Hrothgar's castle and shred them to pieces while they were sleeping . Our people tried to reach Hrothgar on his iphone by email but they never could because he had no service. Now we had to reach for further help. We had to call upon whoever and whatever for help. Our land is in deep sorrow.

The Coming of Beowulf
God had heard our prayers because men across the sea had heard. Beowulf got off of his ship on a Segway and his men followed on their scooters. The men that stood guard of our land immediately thinking that they were an enemy got out their bazookas. Beowulf said, "Wait we have come from of the land of the Geats. We wish to help you with this creature called Grendel." The men that were guarding the castle were very gracious and took the men up to the castle to get ready for the battle against Grendel.

The Battle With Grendel
Once again the men passed out drunk from the celebrating of defeating Grendel. But what Grendel didn't know was that Beowulf and his men were lying among the men in the room. Grendel went to snatch up up one of the soldiers and shredded him to pieces. Then he went on to the next...Beowulf! Beowulf pounced up to frighten Grendel! The battle was on! Beowulf smashed and banged Grendel up and ripped Grendel's arm straight from his body to hang for the whole kingdom to see. They hardly knew what was to come next.

The Monsters' Lair
Grendel's mother came to get the arm back of her son and took down many people to get it. If her son was going to die, she was going to have every piece of him back with her.

The Battle With Grendel's Mother
When Grendel's mother heard of such thing she was furious! She began to get prepared for battle. She got all of her military robots hoping that they could help her. Beowulf and all the people of the land came down to watch Beowulf return from the fight. When Beowulf walked into the cave he immediately saw Grendel's body laying there. Grendel's mother's robotic soldiers were nothing against Beowulf he quickly defeated her and then chopped the head of Grendel clean off. The man of the white beard waited listening to his ipod for Beowulf to return.

The Last Battle

Now Beowulf was getting older and losing some strength. But he still had to defeat the dragon. So he took with him his Segway and went off with his men to get rid of the dragon. Beowulf came up against the flame blowing dragon and began to grow tired. So Wiglaf broke in with his light saber to save Beowulf when the rest of the men ran away with their chia pets in their hands.

The Spoils
Now Beowulf was dying and everyone rushed around. A man rode around the castle with his digital camera taking pictures of the funeral for all to see of the wonderful Beowulf that had defeated all of these creatures and created peace for the country. Beowulf would live forever on as a legend. He would never be forgotten.

Me in the FUTURE

When I get out of school and graduate I hope by the age of 30 that I have a steady job as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Denver, Colorado and be happily married with 3 kids. My house is going to be a 2 story cabin in the mountains with a rap around porch and privacy fence around all of my land. I want to have rich road oak floors and deep grays and creams in all of my rooms!! My bedroom will be the master bedroom with a jet style bath tub and walk in shower. I'll have a hug four post bed that's super king sized with silk sheets and satin covers. I'll have a game room for my 3 kids and our own side of the mountain to go skiing and snow boarding on! I also hope to be driving a Dodge Nitro so that I can get around in the snow covered mountains during the winter. On the weekends when my JJ and I are bored we'll fly the kids back to their Gammaw Teresa and Welo Jessie so that we can fly to Italy to have the "real" spaghetti and then to London, England for a winter night on the London Eye. On our spare time we'll have our families come over and fly out my best friend Kacey so that we can catch up on life. This is what I dream of and hope to have in the next 10 years.

Packed my Parachute

There are so many people in my life that have enabled me to do and get where I am today. One, is my mom. She has showed me how to take life a day at a time and never to count my eggs before they've hatched. She's showed me to be a strong and independent woman, to have respect for myself, and respect for others if they give respect to me. Another one would be my dad; he has taught everything I know about God. The third, but no a bit less important would be JJ. He has had tons of rough roads in his life and still never fails to try to make the best of where he is at now. Even though he has been through a lot he has gone on and is making his life better. Fourth I have to put in a pair because my grandparents are inseparable. They have kept my confidence up for school for when I'm doing what "I think" is bad. Fifth but not less important like I have said before is my best friend Kacey. I love love this girl toooooooo death!! She's always there when I need someone to vent to and tells me when I need to take a chill pill. I don't know what I'd do without that woman. Last, the most important, would be God. Where would anyone be without him? He has made everyone and is the reason we are able to sit here where we are right now. He keeps me safe through each day and never let's me down. I am blessed to have all these people in my life today!!

Expectations of my Senior Year

I have many expectations for my Senior Year. The first and most important to me is to get to the top 10% of my class. It opens doors for me for scholarships and other great opportunities. I also would like to make new friends because this is my last year here and I plan to make the best of it. Another would be just to enjoy life with no drama this year!! But everyone knows that's impossible while in high school!! But I plan to have a lot of fun and enjoy this year!!
